Composition
The six brown tablets of TRIPHASIL contain 30µg ethinyl oestradiol and 50µg levonorgestrel.
The five white tablets contain 40µg ethinyl oestradiol and 75µg levonorgestrel
The ten yellow tablets contain 30µg ethinyl oestradiol and 125µg levonorgestrel.
The seven red tablets are inert.
Oral levonorgestrel with ethinyl estradiol is a combination of progestin and estrogen contraceptive agent. It is used for long-term birth control and regulation of monthly menstrual cycles. Levonorgestrel is the progestin component while ethinyl estradiol is the estrogen component.
Directions
28-day pack: Take one tablet daily for 21 days, then one "reminder" pill daily for seven days.

Contraindications
Any of the following may be reason to choose a different drug. Inform your doctor before starting therapy.
- Allergic to any component of this combination or any estrogen or progestin
- Breast cancer
- Endometrial cancer
- Estrogen-dependent cancer
- Thrombophlebitis or thromboembolic disorders
- Known or suspected pregnancy
- Coronary artery disease
- Unexplained uterine bleeding
- Severe liver disease
Special Note
To take this products as an Emergency Contraceptive- Take 4 yellow pills within 72 hours after unprotected sex and 4 more yellow pills 12 hours later.
